05/25/2009 Swell weekend
After a week on the road, we got a good north coast swell for the weekend. It didn't kick in until the Sunday but it was boiling hot like mid summer. The surf contest at Croyde got underway too. Happy days. Lets hope for a repeat next weekend for the Witterins Surftech demo weekend hosted by Shore Surf Shop www.surfcom.co.uk

Boxing news latest
After Winning the Western Counties senior championships, Sam boxed in Sheffield against former England rep and 3 times English champ Kirk Garvy who recently won the London aba championships.

Sam started the fight with body shots, landing clean shots throughout the 1st round only to be denied of any scoring points after the round had finished. As the judges were not counting body shots Sam went on to look for the KO but Garvey's defensive skills were excellent as he used his height and reach advantage to keep Sam's relentless attack at bay. Kirk went on to win on points and then beat hot favourite Anthony Ogogo in the semis. Garvey is now through to the final which takes place next weekend.
