Sam through to national aba quarters
Above: Sam opens up on Penhill's Kelvin Young to
become the open senior Western Counties Champ.
"i've fought Kelvin Young before and he beat me on a very close points decision.I went to this fight with a game plan to try and out box him but Kelvin was a lot sharper and hungrier then he was in our last fight. I struggled with Kelvin's defensive style only to go down 6 points to 2 after the 2nd round. In the 3rd round , i changed my tactics and looked for the knockout. I caught him early and hurt him, which forced him to hold which the ref didnt like and gave him a public warning. I continued to presure Kelvin and notched up enough points to win the bout with the final score being 17 / 16 to me. Kelvin showed a huge heart in this fight and i would love to box him again"
